May Meeting Recap
Prepping for Pride
In our meeting, we talked about what we needed to do to prepare for the Mystik Pride event that happened this last weekend. For a full recap of the event, see the next section! We also shared about upcoming Pride events happening in surrounding areas.
New Stewards!
We have completed Steward Elections, and will be announcing our new team members at the next community meeting! Thank you to everyone who voted for these incoming Stewards and helped spread the word about the elections.
Glowing Together Pride
Thank you to our entire Cache Valley queer + allied community for showing UP this last Sunday! This event was such a huge success, and we hope it’s just the beginning for a June Pride event being hosted here locally. If you didn’t get a chance to come, here’s what you missed!
Vendors
There were dozens of vendors offering everything from art and jewelry, to queer-affirming businesses and community resources. It’s always joyful to see a variety of local people and organizations come together for an event like this.

Drag + Classes
Drag Queens hosted story times, a makeup class, and a drag show in the evening. It was an absolute hit! Who’s ready for more drag events in the valley? 👋 Mystik Collective offered other hair and makeup classes throughout the day. Plus, our very own Kelsey Crowson did a presentation on “Reclaiming the Reflection: Self-Love as Political Resistance”.

More fun
We can’t forget the BINGO raffle, the beauty bar, face painting and food trucks. Lastly, we want to give a big “thank you” to the Riverwoods Conference Center for being a supportive and beautiful venue to host this wonderful event.
