Hello hello! Does anyone else feel like our queer+allied community here in Cache Valley is getting stronger? While several issues (new and old) are still very present, I’m proud of our community for creating affirming spaces, offering allied events, and loudly taking up space.

This month’s community meeting will be held Tuesday, May 26th at the Cache Valley Unitarian Universalists Church at 596 E 900 N, Logan, UT. Social hour + food (Pizza, salad, and hummus dip!) will begin at 6:00 pm. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm. You can come in person or via Zoom. Email us for the link!

We don’t have a sign up list for the social hour food this month. We will be providing the pizza, salad and hummus. However, we invite anyone to bring chips or a dessert to add to the table!

April Meeting Recap

The Collective in Action

Last month, we helped organize supplies and people to help a local trans person move. We hope to offer similar support for those who need it through our own efforts, and within our collaboration with Cache Valley Mutual Aid.

We’ve also been in the process of developing plans for a Pride event this June with Mystik Collective! Come to our meeting, and/or keep an eye on our socials to find out how you can participate.

Merch for The Cache LGBTQ+ Collective

We’re excited to be developing merchandise to rep the Collective! Some designs may have our name & logo, and others may have our more subtle flower icon. More info to come!

Collective Steward Elections

Steward applications are now closed, but elections are next up! We hope to get our new stewards rolling soon. Thank you so much to everyone who applied, and folks who helped us spread the word.

We’re always happy to give a shoutout to these awesome organizations and the events they host EVERY month! Have you tried them all yet? ❤️

13th Cousin: specializing in helping to create a sense of family, akin to cousins, that will support and sustain members of the LGBTQ community. Many family-friendly events offered!

Cache Valley Mutual Aid: Community dinners, socials, skill shares, game nights, and more!

Logan Pride: There are multiple events happening virtually EVERY DAY. Socials for specific queer identities, Dungeons & Dragons, Cocoa and Coffee, potlucks and more!

Logan Library: While the Logan Library has many great events every month, we like to highlight the queer-focused “Lavender Library” adult book club, and the “Alphabet Soup” teen book club!

Woodsy Art Cafe: A queer-friendly space with weekly events!

Glowing Together - A Cache Valley Pride Event

June 14th @ 2:00-7:30pm

The Mystik Collective is partnering with us to throw a Logan pride event! Our mission is to specifically celebrate our trans folk this year. This is a non-profit event, where all proceeds will be going to a laser hair removal package for one trans individual.

All ages welcome. Entry is free, but we encourage you to bring cash for queens, treats, snacks, and other art vendors!

Cache Pride Center Art Auction

June 1st-25th (Online)

Cache Pride Center’s annual auction is calling for donations of any handmade craft, a gift card, a professional service, or something unique! Every contribution makes a difference!

Resource Highlight

Of course, one of the most powerful resources we have are BOOKS. In our last meeting, Devin highlighted some books for Lesbian Visibility Week and Autism Month. There’s plenty to choose from!
